Portrait, St Cuthbert’s
A couple of weeks ago, after a long photo trek around Edinburgh, I found myself in St Cuthbert’s Graveyard at the foot of the castle.
I was scouting around for a good angle when someone called out and asked if I’d take their photo.
It’s not an uncommon request when you’re carrying a camera in Edinburgh.
Usually, a tourist hands over their phone so they can be in a group picture. I asked the two young people who called me over if they wanted the photo taken on their phone.
“No, with your camera,” they said.
I fired off a couple of quick shots, and this was the result. I never got their names, but I hope they like it if they ever see it.
