Golden Silvery, Airdrie, 2010

When I moved back to Scotland after 23 years away, I arrived in time for the coldest winter in 30 years.

Bad timing… but, if i remember correctly, the following year turned out to be the coldest on record.

I had a bad dose of the manflu but all the trees were sparkling with hoar frost. I'd never seen it before so off I went up the woods.

The camera and tripod were like block of ice and this was the last picture I got before having to head home to a hot cuppa.

I don't think I ever saw Airdrie look so nice.
